In 2007, 15% of Americans identified themselves as religiously unaffiliated.

In 2010, that percentage rose to just under 20%.

88% say that they’re not looking to be affiliated with any religious organization/religion
74% say that they were raised with some affiliation
66% say that they believe in God
50% say that though they seldom or never attend religious services, they describe themselves as belonging to a particular religion
