White Horse Inn Modern Reformation

James Boice was the first preacher who helped me to realize that I do not have and cannot produce any righteousness of my own. Modern Reformation echoes the same theme throughout its publication, with different theologians saying the same thing but with different words and illustrations.
It is undoubtedly one of the manifestations of our carnal nature to think that we can somehow work for our salvation. However when you become saved, you look back on your past and wonder how you could ever have believed such a thing. I therefore think that this teaching that we are saved by God’s grace alone is one that will have to be preached over and over until our Lord Jesus comes. Your magazine will always be needed.
